Sydney James is a nationally recognized Detroit-based muralist and founder of BLKOUT Walls, a public art initiative dedicated to creating opportunities for Black artists while transforming neighborhoods through large-scale murals. Through BLKOUT Walls, she has cultivated a community of artists who use public art to celebrate culture, tell stories, and inspire the next generation of creatives.
