About Footwear Futures Foundation
Footwear Futures Foundation (FFF) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization created to support and expand initiatives dedicated to increasing access, awareness, and professional opportunity within the global footwear industry. Its goal is to provide the long-term organizational structure and resources necessary to sustain and grow the Black Footwear Forum (BFF) and its expanding network of leadership, mentorship, and professional development programs. Since its founding, the Black Footwear Forum has become a powerful platform for dialogue, collaboration, and connection within the footwear industry, bringing together designers, product creators, executives, entrepreneurs, and emerging talent to share knowledge, build community, and advance opportunities within the field.
At the heart of the Foundation’s work are four key initiatives that collectively create a comprehensive ecosystem of mentorship, leadership development, and professional education:
- Black Footwear Forum (BFF) – the industry’s leading platform dedicated to elevating Black voices, thought leadership, and community within footwear through annual conference, partnerships, and industry dialogue.
- Brotherhood. Renewal. Ownership. (BRO) – a mentorship and leadership development initiative designed to support men in the footwear industry through community, professional networking, and career advancement opportunities.
- Sisters in Sole (SIS) – an executive leadership platform that empowers and connects women leaders across the footwear sector through programming, retreats, and community-building experiences.
- BFF Institute – the educational arm of the organization, offering professional development and industry up-skilling through workshops, virtual sessions, and learning opportunities designed to equip participants with the knowledge and tools needed to thrive in the footwear business.
Together, these initiatives form a powerful ecosystem dedicated to fostering representation, mentorship, and professional advancement across the industry.
